This is the fan community for the Night Vale Presents show Within the Wires.

Set within an alternate reality, Within the Wires tells stories in the guise of instructional audio programs. Each season guides the listener through a different audio experience from this other universe, ushering listeners through a curriculum which unravels to reveal a much deeper and more personal story.

• Season One: Relaxation Cassettes
  

  A 10-part scripted fiction podcast that takes the form of an audio course on full body relaxation issued by The Institute to you, (the listener) a nameless medical inmate. Who is this narrator? Is she relaying something more than just relaxation techniques, and is she to be trusted? And are there subliminal messages hidden within the music? As listeners move through the relaxation curriculum a deeper and more personal story unravels.

  
  
• Season 2: Museum Audio Tours
  

  Season two, "Museum Audio Tours," tells its story in the guise of ten audio museum guides. Over the course of a decade of worldwide exhibitions, these walkthroughs unravel the complex story of a mysterious disappearance of an artist's mentor.



• Season 3: Dictation
  

  Season Three, "Dictation," is a political thriller set in 1950s Chicago told exclusively through dictated letters and notes from a bureaucrat to his secretary. Michael Witten is committed to the building of a New Society, after the global destruction caused by the Great Reckoning. But a political rival with a suspicious past reappears in Europe. Alliances are delicate and intricate, and Michael doesn’t know whom he can trust.



• Season 4: The Cradle
  

  Season Four, "The Cradle," is a story about a mother and daughter as they attempt to lead a family-centric commune surviving on the fringes of society. The leader of The Cradle – an anti-government commune hidden deep in a Scandinavian forest – escapes arrest and travels the globe attempting to build her following. This 10-episode season is told via tape recorded letters home to her daughter and sermons to the commune.
